  STERNDRIVE RUNABOUTS AND SKI BOATS

Rib Inflatable boats and other smaller, lighter boats have a few handling issues that will decrease with the installation of a Permatrim. These types of boats are lightweight and the majority of the weight is aft (engine and driver) causing the boat to ride with the bow-high when accelerating. Weight usually needs to be shifted forward in order to get these boats to plane. Engine horsepower is usually on the lower end to keep the overall weight down and to make them easier for the owner to use.

With the installation of a Permatrim these boats will come up to plane much faster, with less bow rise, and will maintain a lower planing speed as the same type of boat without a Permatrim. In the event that the engine needs to be lifted of the dinghy by hand, the Permatrim is so strong, it can be used to lift the engine as well.
